Shelby Mustang GT500 Fastback (RHD)

With history fully documented by the Shelby American Registry, this particular example has build number 500 and was delivered to a John Marshall of California, who leased the car from the 20th of March, 1967. The original option codes on the car indicate it was painted dark blue with black trim, had centre-mounted headlamps and Kelsey-Hayes 15-inch Mag Star wheels, lacked air conditioning and came with a Detroit Locker rear end.

After arriving in Australia in 1969, the GT500 passed through four owners before being acquired by the present owner in November 2000. The previous owner, Mustang guru Ian Blume of Bendigo, Victoria, totally restored the vehicle by 1999 when the clock was reading 77,620 miles and the present owner has covered a further 200-300 miles since.

Finished in the attractive colour combination of Le Mans Blue with black Deluxe interior, the Shelby has been professionally converted to right-hand drive, and has an optional radio fitted. The vehicle comes with an owner's manual, the original purchase invoice, copy of the Shelby production order, pre-delivery service sheet and a copy of the radio manual. The vehicle is currently on club plates and is to be sold unregistered with a NSW Blue Slip supplied after sale.

This car was SOLD for $189,000 AUD.
